Job Description: The Golf Service Center (GSC) is one of the most visible employees of the facility. This position is tasked with greeting members and guests, taking care of the practice tee, retrieving member and guest's golf bags, taking care of golf carts, and assisting members and guests with any of their golf needs. Due to the nature of the position, the GSC employee must be pleasant, outgoing, and willing to work with others.

 

General Requirements:

  • Complies with Oak Hill Country Club's Acorns of Excellence.
  • Report to work at the scheduled time, neatly groomed and dressed in accordance with Oak Hill Country Club's appearance standards.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Anticipate guest and contact needs, ascertain satisfaction, and respond urgently and appropriately to concerns and requests.
  • Exceptional communication abilities when interacting with associates, guests, clients and internal departments to build relationships.
  • Able to consistently perform tasks with little direct supervision.
  • Works harmoniously and professionally with co-workers.

 

Job Requirements:

  • GSC Employee must be on-time and ready to work at their shift start time
  • Be the customer service specialist for the facility
  • Provide welcoming "first contact" with each member or groups of guests and ensure they have an enjoyable experience
  • Check with the golf shop for any unusual or special instructions on a daily basis
  • Communicate with the golf shop on a regular basis
  • Keep work area neat and clean at all times
  • Keep the members and guests clubs clean
  • Take care of the practice tee and short game area.       Keeping it fully stocked with balls and keeping it clean and well organized.
  • Retrieve members and guests bags form the bag room and bag drop areas
  • Take care of all golf carts and push carts.       Cleaning and stocking pencils and tees.
  • This position may perform additional duties as needed/required
  • Seasonal position (April through October)

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to continuously sit, stand and walk a minimum of 8 hours.
  • Must be able to bend, kneel, push and pull over the course of a shift.
  • All employees must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance per Oak Hill's appearance standards.
  • Will be required to perform job functions outdoors and be exposed to sun, heat, humidity and other elements.
  • Must be able to work a flexible shift that includes early mornings, nights, weekends, holidays, split shifts, and extended shifts.
  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • Must have a reliable form of transportation to and from work.

Experience:

  • Country club experience strongly preferred.

 

Licenses & Certificates:

  • Ability to obtain and/or maintain any government required licenses, certificates or permits.
  • Valid driver's license.
