Scheduled Shifts: Tuesday-Saturday: 9:00am to 5:30pm

 

Job Description: The Lead Receptionist represents Oak Hill over the phone and is the first impression when members and guests enter the Club. They create a warm and welcoming experience for all who enter Oak Hill. The Lead Receptionist plays an integral role in the success of Club event and a la carte dining reservations. They answer all incoming calls effectively, with a smile, and do whatever they can to assist members, guests and fellow employees.

 

General Requirements:

  • Complies with Oak Hill Country Club's Acorns of Excellence.
  • Report to work at the scheduled time, neatly groomed and dressed in accordance with Oak Hill Country Club's appearance standards.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Anticipate guest and contact needs, ascertain satisfaction, and respond urgently and appropriately to concerns and requests.
  • Exceptional communication abilities when interacting with associates, guests, clients and internal departments to build relationships.
  • Able to consistently perform tasks with little direct supervision.
  • Works harmoniously and professionally with co-workers.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Answers the telephone with a smile; transfers calls to proper extensions; takes messages for members and staff.
  • Greets members and guests with a warm smile and welcome.
  • Oversees a la carte dining and Club function reservations.
  • Assists with Club function diagrams and seating arrangements.
  • Provides Club information to members and guests.
  • Sorts and distributes in-coming mail.
  • Collects and posts outgoing mail including overnight mail services.
  • Maintains supply of Club information for members.
  • Fulfills members' requests to the best of their ability.
  • Performs on- or off-site errands.
  • Performs general office work such as word processing, filing and operating copy and fax machines.
  • Works on special projects as assigned.
  • Maintains supply inventories for Reception area.
  • Reports presence of unauthorized visitors in or around Club facility.
  • Performs other duties required by the manager on duty.
  • Maintain entrance "Daily Events" sheet
  • Maintains appearance of Reception area and Coat Room.
  • Maintain postage supplies.
  • Assist with the assembly and distribution of daily and weekly Catering Packets.

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to continuously sit, stand and walk a minimum of 8 hours.
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds and perform strenuous work lifting.
  • Must be able to bend, kneel, push and pull over the course of a shift.
  • All employees must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance per Oak Hill's appearance standards.
  • Will be required to perform job functions outdoors and be exposed to sun, heat, humidity and other elements.
  • Must be able to work a flexible shift that includes early mornings, nights, weekends, holidays, split shifts, and extended shifts.
  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • Must have a reliable form of transportation to and from work.

 

Qualifications:

 

Experience:

  • A minimum of two years at a resort, club or hospitality industry setting.

 

Education: High school or equivalent education required.

 

Licenses & Certificates:

  • Ability to obtain and/or maintain any government required licenses, certificates or permits.
  • Valid driver's license.
