Oak Hill Country Club is looking for enthusiastic bartenders to provide an excellent member experience. The successful candidate will be able to interact with members in a professional environment and understands the importance of building relationships with members in a country club atmosphere.

 

Job Summary:

Prepare, pour and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. Requires knowledge of all aspects of mixology including food/wine pairings and wine presentation and service.

Responsibilities:

  • Report to work at the scheduled time, neatly groomed and dressed in accordance with Oak Hill appearance standards.
  • Intermediate understanding of all alcoholic and non-alcohol beverages.
  • Ability to prepare and serve mixed cocktails and craft cocktails. Training will be provided.
  • Anticipate member needs, ascertain satisfaction, and respond urgently and appropriately to concerns and requests.
  • Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies and to maintain a neat workspace
  • Exceptional communication abilities to interact with members, guests, clients and internal departments to build relationships.
  • Insure proper care, security and maintenance of club equipment.
  • Perform daily housekeeping and maintenance to include storage and operational areas.
  • Being able to consistently perform tasks with little direct supervision.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and contribute to the team's success.
  • Comply with all food and beverage regulations and laws in the serving of alcohol.

Requirements:

  • One year bartending experience at a restaurant, hotel, banquets or country club. Country club experience preferred.
  • TIPS and/or comparable safe beverage service certifications preferred.
  • Knowledge of basic drinks such as martinis, manhattans, gimlets, wedges, transfusions and basic wine and beer knowledge and proper handling and opening.
  • Experience working on a POS system and cash handling skills are essential
  • High School Diploma
